In early 2014 we asked "What was Winnipeg's favourite arcade game?" - This being the most popular post EVER on our Facebook page, we did some follow up and now, we present the Top 10! What were our followers favourite arcades? Check it out!

The Arcade
Less prevalent in today's pop culture, in the 80's and 90's, the Arcade was the place to play the latest and greatest games and hang out. It seems now a days, people are more nostalgic about arcades, you can even visit "Primo's Collectables" and buy your own! It truly was a golden age of gaming!

One of the most popular games in the 90's, Street Fighter re-defined the genre of Fighting Games (and the term "spin offs")

Sunset Riders

A fast pace 4 person western, Sunset Riders' sense of humour set it apart. "Bury me with my money!"

Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat's popularity caused mass line ups in arcades in the 90's. "Finish Him!"

X-Men

(4 Player Game)

Before the era of wide screens, X-Men needed 2 monitors to capture all the action of this 4 player beat-em-up classic!

House of the Dead

The definition of arcade gameplay, House of the Dead not only tried to eat your brains, but your time and quarters . 

Wrestlefest

The "over the top" wrestlers of the early 90's duked it out in WWF's Wrestlefest (put in a quarter to regain power).

Bust a Move

Probably the most popular selection in those Neo Geo 4 Slot Arcades, over the years, Bust a Move has had more sequels than Star Wars 

Marvel Vs. Capcom

Marvel Vs. Capcom allowed gamers to mash up their dream teams from 2 mega franchises in this Hyper-Combo fighting classic! Maximum Spider!

Terminator 2

Fight for the future in this arcade classic. Terminator 2 was an all action rail shooting robo-fest. 

The Simpson's

What better to define the 90's than America's favourite family, The Simpson's allowed you to choose your favourite character and save Maggie from the evil Mr.Burns.
