What is Retro Gamers Convention Winnipeg?

We are a group of video game fans in Winnipeg and we want to help host Winnipeg's first retro video game convention. With the surge in retro and current generation gaming,  this would seem a natural evolution, but there are many steps to do before actually getting a convention up and running. We want to build this community, hold some special events, tournaments and more. On April 25th we're holding (with PNP Games help) the first ever Amiibo's Free-for-All tournament. You'll be able to register your Amiibos at RGU2 to face off against other local trainers, winner takes all with grand prizes valuing over $75 each and a pretty slick "trophy" from Retro Gamers Winnipeg. Vendor Spotlight: Nerdhaven Collectables

Nerdhaven Collectables has been fuelling Winnipeg's geek-culture community, appearing at conventions all year round. Make sure to catch them at #RetroGamersUnite April 5th 2014. They'll be selling an array of items including some Japanese video game character figures from PVCs to Figams and Nendoroids (plus a whole lot more!). If you have any questions, just ask them  ...
