3 Retro Tournaments Hosted by Chipdamage


#RetroGamersUnite will be presenting 3 retro video game tournaments run by Winnipeg's professionals at running tournaments like this. Chip Damage has been involved in central Canada's fighting game scene for years, hosting tournaments and events for fans throughout the year. We thank them for helping us support local charity and catering to Winnipeg's retro video game fans.

They chose to run tournaments for 3 (pretty much) classic video games at #RetroGamersUnite!

  • Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 
  • Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes

Event Details
A Video Game Event to Support Lighthouse Mission
Date: April 5 2014, 11am-9pm
Place: Sturgeon Heights Community Centre (210 Rita St., Near PNP Games Portage)
Admission: $5 at the door, Special Pre-Sale tickets available at all event sponsors. 

Marvel Vs. Capcom - A Fighting Game Classic
Tournament Details
Tournament Fee: $5 at the event
  • 13:00 (1pm) - Super Puzzle Fighter 2
  • 16:00 (4pm) - Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
  • 18:00 (6pm) - Marvel Vs. Capcom Clash of the Super Heroes
Tournament prizes are cash prizes (and maybe more) announced at the event. You must register at the event for each game prior to game times. Check out the official event schedule here

All games will be run on the Playstation 3 and standard Chip Damage rules apply. For those unfamiliar, check them out on their forum. (Being a new comer to the tournament scene myself, their usually very friendly and happy to give pointers! Main thing, bring your own controller (USB) and don't pause the game!) =D
