Let all those years of childhood gaming pay off, win great prizes on April 5th at Retro Gamers Unite. Attendees will have the opportunity to set the top score on our Retro Video Game Challenges and win. We've decided to let people compete in 2 video game classics for our grand prizes, Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo and Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo.

Remember, a portion of all proceeds go to support Lighthouse Mission! Thank you for your support!

Set Winnipeg's top score in Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Kart, win a Retron 3 Package
and more great goodies!
  • Grand Prizes - Retron3 Video Game Packages  (Approx $80 value) Includes a Retron 3 Console, A Classic SNES Game and Video Game T-Shirt! You'll also be "immortalized" online in the RGCW Official Records, invited to defend your title at future RGCW Events. 
  • The Top 10 - The top 10 scores will be recorded on our website for future attempts.

The Retron 3 lets gamers play Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and more
all in one convenient console. 


Attempts: $5 for 3 attempt vouchers. You'll also be given free silent auction tickets as a thank you for playing! You redeem your attempt voucher with one of our Game Lounge event staff who will officially record your results. 

To Win: You must set the highest record at our official RGCW challenges. To save suspense, the top scores will be posted closer to the end of the night, with the winner being announced at 6:15pm. You can claim your prize then or arrange to have it picked up after the event. Each challenge has a different criteria so read carefully. 
RetroGamersUnite will feature many prizes and ways to win!


The Retro Challenges:


Super Mario Bros 1 (Nintendo): The One Life Run
Super Mario Bros is still one of the best selling games of all time. A staples of the 1990's, many generation X children site this game as the first game they ever played. 

The winner will be the person who can make it to the highest level with the highest score in one life. No level-to-level warps allowed (in level warps allowed), no pausing the game and no stalling. If there is a tie for the highest level (including beating the game), the higher score will be the tie breaker. Click here for the complete rules!




Super Mario Kart (SNES): Fastest Course Time Mario Circuit 1 (150CC)
Use your cunning skills and speed to record the fastest course time and win! To claim a grand prize, you must be the person with the highest total course time on Mario Circuit 1... it's that easy! Pausing the game may cause you to be disqualified, so be careful! Click here for complete rules!
