The official Retro Video Gamers Winnipeg Planning Committee is meeting this week to finalize and announce the official details for April 5th Retro Video Game Event for Charity. 

For our first event we're working hard to make it memorable and raise supplies for Winnipeg's longest running homeless shelter! We've got great sponsors, great attractions and great prizes... all for an affordable all day event! Stay tuned to the Facebook page for more details!

On April 25th we're holding (with PNP Games help) the first ever Amiibo's Free-for-All tournament. You'll be able to register your Amiibos at RGU2 to face off against other local trainers, winner takes all with grand prizes valuing over $75 each and a pretty slick "trophy" from Retro Gamers Winnipeg. We're already confirmed a Gold Edition Mario Amiibo as PART of the grand prize for one of our tournaments from PNP Games (there will be more added to the grand prizes of course). Nerdhaven Collectables has been fuelling Winnipeg's geek-culture community, appearing at conventions all year round. Make sure to catch them at #RetroGamersUnite April 5th 2014.
