Our first event "Retro Gamers Unite" was an outstanding success, beyond all expectations! Over 550 local retro video game fans raised more than $1500 and 500lbs of donations for Winnipeg's Lighthouse Mission, the city's longest running homeless shelter!
Thank you to everyone who came and donated, to all the volunteers and our sponsors, whom without them we wouldn't be able to do any of this!

Retro Gamers Winnipeg has unified our city's classic video game community, hosting Winnipeg's largest, dedicated retro video game conventions celebrating it's history and raising money and supplies for local charities. A special message from our first convention from classic video game show host Nicholas Picholas of Video and Arcade Top 10
On April 25th we're holding (with PNP Games help) the first ever Amiibo's Free-for-All tournament. You'll be able to register your Amiibos at RGU2 to face off against other local trainers, winner takes all with grand prizes valuing over $75 each and a pretty slick "trophy" from Retro Gamers Winnipeg. We're already confirmed a Gold Edition Mario Amiibo as PART of the grand prize for one of our tournaments from PNP Games (there will be more added to the grand prizes of course). More prizes as they get confirmed from our sponsors. Details after the jump
