Retro Gamers Winnipeg (BETA SITE)

Written by Nate April 5th 2014 marks our first video game event called Retro Gamers Unite - A Charity Event to Support Lighthouse Mission. One of our Planning Committee's goals was to get a truck load of prizes to give away to our attendees and help raise supplies and money for Lighthouse Mission. Stay tuned for more on all the ways to win prizes. It might take skill, sometimes luck... But you got to be in it to win it! #RetroGamersUnite will give attendees many opportunities to win great prizes! Chasing Artwork has been seen at many conventions all over Canada and U.S.A. Justin has crafted his own unique style,  "Shattered Vector" which has been gaining popularity... and with just cause. Inspired by video games and movies, Chasing Artwork sells everything from original prints and poster into fine art. Nerdhaven Collectables has been fuelling Winnipeg's geek-culture community, appearing at conventions all year round. Make sure to catch them at #RetroGamersUnite April 5th 2014. They'll be selling an array of items including some Japanese video game character figures from PVCs to Figams and Nendoroids (plus a whole lot more!). If you have any questions, just ask them  ... Our group's first retro video game event to support Lighthouse Mission, called #RetroGamersUnite.  We're busy planning and preparing, we're releasing info as soon as we can. This is going to be our general guidelines for our 2on2 Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments for RGCWinnipeg. We call them guidelines because the objective of our tournaments is in the spirit of fun rather than a "hardcore" competitive atmosphere, however we understand the importance of general accepted "rules". We ask experienced players help those who may not be as experienced in terms of rules (but you don't have to let them win however).  There may be minor variations on the guidelines depending on the specific event. We would like to thank Chipdamage and other supporters for their help in developing these guidelines. The majority of these guidelines are taken/modified from Apex .
